Operating under the guidance of the Associate Director and Program Director, you will spearhead the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of services, ensuring the achievement of programmatic objectives. Duties & Responsibilities

Departmental Management & Supervision

  •  Delegates work assignments to program staff in accord with established policies/procedures and oversees the performance and implementation of those assignments.

  • Works alongside staff to complete the same work assignments.

  •  Develops, implements and monitors appropriate procedures for effective service delivery and administrative efficiency, and ensures quality in their execution.

  •  Provides performance feedback to subordinates and identifies opportunities for reward and recognition programming

  •  Provides training to assigned staff in appropriate facets of the position and conducts in-service training sessions, as requested.

  •  Maintains an appropriate professional demeanor toward co-workers, visitors, clients, supervisors and all others.

Program Functioning Management

  •  Assumes responsibility for the accuracy, substance and timeliness of program reports, projects, schedules and other relevant work products.

  •  Coordinates resolution of basic physical plant and/or equipment issues.
  •  Responds to on-call crisis situations 24 hours a day /7 days a week and will carry an agency-issued communication device (email/cell phone)

  •  Participates in management team meetings and other meetings, as required.
  •  Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities (if applicable):

  •  Youth Care Workers
  •  Residential Instructors
  •  Environmental Control Specialists
  •  Drivers
  •  Security Specialist

Education and Experience:

  •  High School Diploma or General Education Diploma is required.
  •  Two (2) years of college experience is preferred
  •  Minimum two (2) years of full-time experience working with youth in a residential child care setting is required. d7ffb5T Dmo7Rl
  •  Two (2) years of demonstrated leadership ability is required.

Certifications/Licenses:

  •  Per DCFS licensing requirements, the Program Manager YRS must be 25 years of age or older.
  •  Must hold a valid Illinois Driver’s License, and seek and remain a cleared driver through DCFS.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (K/S/A):

Ability to speak and fluency in a second language including but not limited to the following multi-language abilities:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
