Job Purpose
The Cashier will deliver exceptional service through efficient customer interactions, smooth point of sale (POS) operations, and effective merchandising. The goal is to provide a positive and seamless shopping experience for every customer.
Job Objectives
πΉ Efficient POS Operations
- Execute all point-of-sale activities accurately and promptly.
- Handle cash transactions with care and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy when scanning merchandise and processing payments.
- Implement ClubCard rewards during transactions, promoting the loyalty program.
πΉ Customer Service Excellence
- Maintain a high standard of customer service, engaging with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Serve as a Clicks brand ambassador, offering personalized assistance and promoting promotions to drive sales.
πΉ Merchandising & Housekeeping
- Maintain store merchandising and display standards in accordance with visual merchandising guidelines.
- Keep the store clean and organized to ensure a welcoming shopping environment.
πΉ Teamwork and Development
- Share product knowledge with colleagues to ensure continuous service excellence.
- Keep up-to-date with product ranges, promotions, and events to provide customers with accurate information.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
π Essential:
- Grade 12 qualification.
π Desirable:
- Maths and English 50% at Grade 12 level.
- Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail/FMCG environment.
Skills & Abilities
π§ Essential Skills
- Basic mathematical calculations.
- Understanding of retail/FMCG operations, including merchandising and promotions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to plan and organize effectively.
- Customer-oriented with excellent communication and numeracy skills.
- Computer literate and able to navigate POS systems with ease.
