Jafta from Rhythm City: Where is Sandile Dlamini now?

Sandile Dlamini, renowned for his portrayal of Jafta on the e.tv drama series Rhythm City, has garnered acclaim for his acting prowess. Since the cancellation of Rhythm City, many have wondered about his current whereabouts and career endeavors.

After the conclusion of Rhythm City, Dlamini joined the cast of The Black Door, appearing in its first season. However, the drama series underwent a transformation in 2023, transitioning into a spin-off called Isitha – The Enemy. Since then, Dlamini has not been involved in any major drama series, and he has maintained a low profile on social media, with his last post dating back to 2019.

Dlamini’s acting journey began in the 90s, and he has graced the stage in numerous theater productions, including “A Long Way To Go,” where he portrayed the character of Jobe. Throughout his career, he has also made appearances in various small-screen productions, with his role as Jafta on Rhythm City being his most notable.

As for the rest of the Rhythm City cast, Mduduzi Mabaso, known for his role as Suffocate Ndlovu, transitioned to the Mzansi Magic drama series DiepCity after the conclusion of Rhythm City. Petronella Tshuma, who portrayed Pearl, has kept a low profile in the public eye.

However, two lead actors, Jamie Bartlett and Mncedisi Shabangu, have passed away. Mapula Molefe has ventured into fashion and DJing, while Kea Masango has continued to make waves in the industry with roles in Ayeye Stripped and the Netflix series Blood & Water.
