π° Remuneration:
Phase | Salary/Stipend |

Institution Phase (Basic Training in Academies) | Stipend: R4,500 per month |
Probation Phase (After Training in Academies) | Salary: R216,033 per annum + benefits |
β Successful candidates will be appointed under the SAPS Act, 1995 (Act No. 68 of 1995).
β Appointees will receive applicable service benefits after the probation phase.
π Core Responsibilities:
Upon successful completion of training, your duties will include:

Preventing, combating, and investigating crime
β
Maintaining public order
β
Protecting and securing South Africans and their property
β
Upholding and enforcing the law
π Basic Police Development Learning Programme (BPDLP)
Selected applicants will undergo a 21-month training programme, divided into three phases:

β SAPS provides free training gear, meals, and accommodation during the Basic Training Phase.
β Medical aid benefits will be provided during training.
β Successful candidates will be considered for permanent appointment as Constables.
π° Placement:
- Training will take place at any SAPS Academy in South Africa.
- Upon completion, candidates will be placed at any Police Station/Unit across South Africa.
πΌ Minimum Requirements:
To qualify, applicants must:
πΉ Be a permanent South African resident (proof required)
πΉ Have Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification
πΉ Possess a valid driverβs license (advantageous)
πΉ Be proficient in English and one other official language
πΉ Be 18 – 35 years old (proof required)
πΉ Have no criminal record (background checks will be conducted)
πΉ Have no visible tattoos when in uniform
πΉ Be physically and mentally fit (medical and psychological assessments required)
πΉ Be willing to serve anywhere in South Africa

β Applicants must pass fitness, psychometric, and integrity tests.
β Medical evaluation and interviews will be conducted.
β Qualification verification, citizenship, and address checks will be done.
β Applicants with previous government dismissal due to misconduct will not be considered.
β Those with chronic illnesses or physical impairments that hinder training may be excluded.
