As a Call Centre Agent, your duties will include:

๐Ÿ“ž Handling Calls: Answer incoming calls and make follow-up calls when required.
๐Ÿ“ Logging & Escalation: Capture customer interactions in the Customer Care Application system, ensuring all inquiries are properly logged and escalated if needed.
๐Ÿ” Issue Resolution: Investigate and provide accurate feedback to clients regarding their concerns.


๐Ÿ“‚ Updating Records: Maintain and update client information in the Integrated Customer Care Application.
๐Ÿ“ก Tracking Progress: Monitor the status of escalated issues and follow up to ensure client needs are addressed.


๐Ÿ“ง Email Support: Respond to customer emails with the same level of service and professionalism as phone interactions.
๐Ÿ“ข Client Education: Guide customers through SASSA services, policies, and processes.
โžก๏ธ Call Routing: Direct calls to the appropriate department or official when necessary.


๐Ÿ† Minimum Requirements โ€“ Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

โœ” Senior Certificate (Grade 12 / NQF Level 4) โ€“ A matric certificate or equivalent is required.
โœ” Computer Literacy โ€“ Must be comfortable using computer systems for logging and managing customer queries.

๐ŸŽฏ Experience & Knowledge

โœ… 0-1 year experience in a customer service or call centre environment.
โœ… Understanding of SOCPEN (Social Pension System) is advantageous.
โœ… Familiarity with Social Assistance Laws & Policies, including the Social Assistance Act & SASSA Act.
โœ… Knowledge of public sector arrangements & procedures in social security services.
