๐ Job Overview
As a Call Centre Agent at SASSA, you will be the first point of contact for clients seeking social assistance. Your role will involve handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring that South Africans receive the support they need.

๐ฏ Key Responsibilities
As a Call Centre Agent, your duties will include:
๐ Handling Calls: Answer incoming calls and make follow-up calls when required.
๐ Logging & Escalation: Capture customer interactions in the Customer Care Application system, ensuring all inquiries are properly logged and escalated if needed.
๐ Issue Resolution: Investigate and provide accurate feedback to clients regarding their concerns.
๐ Updating Records: Maintain and update client information in the Integrated Customer Care Application.
๐ก Tracking Progress: Monitor the status of escalated issues and follow up to ensure client needs are addressed.
๐ง Email Support: Respond to customer emails with the same level of service and professionalism as phone interactions.
๐ข Client Education: Guide customers through SASSA services, policies, and processes.
โก๏ธ Call Routing: Direct calls to the appropriate department or official when necessary.
๐ Minimum Requirements โ Who Can Apply?
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
โ Senior Certificate (Grade 12 / NQF Level 4) โ A matric certificate or equivalent is required.
โ Computer Literacy โ Must be comfortable using computer systems for logging and managing customer queries.
๐ฏ Experience & Knowledge
โ
0-1 year experience in a customer service or call centre environment.
โ
Understanding of SOCPEN (Social Pension System) is advantageous.
โ
Familiarity with Social Assistance Laws & Policies, including the Social Assistance Act & SASSA Act.
โ
Knowledge of public sector arrangements & procedures in social security services.
