Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review INARA Activity documents related to the design and development of the solar farm and provide inputs and recommendations, such as:
    • Verifying micro-grid system sizing parameters and operational effectiveness using simulation software and using multiple loading and operational scenarios to match power generation with varying load profiles.
    • Undertaking/verifying grid impact assessments and load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, voltage profile stability, system stability analysis,
    • Verify the integration and operational parameters of the different components of an integrated energy system including but not limited to: solar PV, BESS, utility, load management, and grid interfaces.

Education & Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8 – 10 years of practical experience dealing with a range of key engineering aspects of solar power system generation and transmission, design and construction of solar plants, grid-connected battery energy storage systems, microgrids, Medium Voltage (MV) distribution & protection systems, and SCADA monitoring & control systems.
  • Expertise in renewable energy based micro-grid simulation software.
  • Expertise in energy flow analysis, electrical/power network analysis and grid impact study.
  • Expertise in grid-connected battery energy storage solutions.
  • Ability to travel and work overseas on short term technical assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in SCADA/DCS systems including management of different loading zones.
  • Language ability in Arabic.
