Job Overview
Ster-Kinekor Theatres is looking for dynamic and customer-focused individuals to join their team at Mall of Africa. The successful candidate will take on multiple responsibilities, including working as a Cashier, Cinema Assistant, Waiter, Poppers Operator, or any other cinema function as directed by a supervisor.
This is a great opportunity for entry-level candidates looking to gain experience in the entertainment and cinema industry.
Key Responsibilities
🎟️ Customer Service & Sales:
- Work at Box Office Sales, Catering Sales, Collections, or as a Cinema Assistant.
- Stay informed about Ster-Kinekor’s products, promotions, and marketing campaigns to upsell effectively.
- Ensure all age restrictions, synopsis files, posters, disclaimers, and displays are updated and correctly presented.
🍿 Food & Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare popcorn, slush, and other food items according to Ster-Kinekor’s quality standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and counter areas.
- Ensure that all food products are properly sealed, packaged, and stored.
🏢 Operational Excellence:
- Assist in shift preparation when required.
- Ensure storerooms are maintained and fumigation is conducted when necessary.
- Submit Health & Safety (H&S) reports on schedule.
- Adhere to company uniform and hygiene standards at all times.
💼 Professional Conduct:
- Represent Ster-Kinekor professionally, as your actions impact the company’s reputation.
- Be presentable and well-groomed at all times.
Minimum Requirements
📜 Qualifications:
✔ Matric (Grade 12)
💡 Experience & Knowledge:
✔ 0 – 1 year of experience in a similar role
✔ Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite
✔ Knowledge of VISTA software (advantageous)
