Are you a young, unemployed South African looking for a chance to kickstart a career in Road Traffic and Law Enforcement? Joe Morolong Local Municipality, in partnership with the Department of Land Reform, is offering a 12-month Learnership Programme for the 2025/2026 intake.

This initiative aims to equip youth with vital skills, helping to reduce unemployment in the region while providing a pathway to a formal qualification in Road Traffic and Law Enforcement.
Position Details
Position: Traffic Trainee Learnership (X6)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Location: Northern Cape, South Africa
Closing Date: 24 February 2025
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- South African Citizen
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Valid Driverβs License
- SAPS Clearance Results (no criminal record)
- Proof of Medical Examination
- Permanent Residency within the jurisdiction of Joe Morolong Local Municipality
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a 12-month training program, which includes gaining a Certificate in Road Traffic and Law Enforcement (NQF Level 4)
- Participate in practical training and fieldwork
- Maintain and improve fitness levels through ongoing assessments
- Ensure active engagement in all theoretical and practical sessions related to traffic and law enforcement
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will go through the following selection steps:
- Physical Assessment and Interview
- SAPS Clearance Check (Only SAPS clearance certificates will be accepted)
- Fitness Assessments to ensure candidates maintain the necessary fitness levels
