Minimum Requirements
✔ Education: Grade 10 or National Senior Certificate (Matric)
✔ Security Registration: Valid Grade C PSIRA registration
✔ Driving License: Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle
✔ Firearm Competency: Firearm competency certificate issued by SAPS
✔ Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written English proficiency, including report writing
✔ Work Ethic: Self-disciplined, analytical, and able to work in a team
✔ Shifts: Must be willing to work shifts
✔ Background Check: Must pass screening, verification, credit, and criminal record checks
✔ Medical Fitness: Must be declared medically fit for the role after a risk-based medical exam at Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Access Control & Security: Ensure the protection of Sibanye-Stillwater’s operations through access control, patrolling, guarding, and observation.
🔹 Infrastructure Inspection: Conduct security inspections of buildings and infrastructure to identify and mitigate risks.
🔹 Employee & Visitor Verification: Grant access only to legitimate employees, contractors, and visitors by executing Access Control Procedures.
🔹 Patrolling: Perform random and scheduled foot or vehicle patrols in designated risk areas.
🔹 Workplace Safety: Ensure employee and visitor protection by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
🔹 Crowd Control & Crime Response: Assist in crowd control and first-response crime intervention when required.
🔹 Professional Security Presence: Provide a customer-friendly, reassuring, and professional security service.
🔹 Entrance & Exit Monitoring: Control entry and exit of people and vehicles per security procedures.
🔹 Search & Surveillance: Conduct security searches on individuals and vehicles when necessary.
🔹 Incident Reporting: Identify, report, and log suspicious activities, crimes, and security incidents on the SPS Crime Administration system (CiMMS).
