The community of Saldanha Bay – including Patriotic Alliance leader Gayton McKenzie -believes Joslin Smith is alive after seeing a “sign” in the sky.
The seven-year-old girl who went missing on Monday, 19 February, has yet to be found.
However, the politician and hundreds of community members remain firm in their faith that they will find her before it’s too late.

On Wednesday, 28 February, Gayton McKenzie updated his social media followers on his leads in his quest to find Joslin Smith.
The Patriotic Alliance leader has been leading a search party since earlier this week.
At one stage, Gayton had to stop his vehicle to address community members about possible suspects he had identified.
The politician – who is a reformed convict – was met with a “miraculous” sign in the sky.
In clips posted on social media, Saldanha Bay residents are seen pointing to the sky to what appears to be an image of a cross or possibly an angel.
Gayton later said in a Facebook Live: “I saw the cross with my own eyes. I was asking God if this child is still alive. I asked God for a sign.
“I got cold shivers looking at it. I had to wipe my tears. That, for me, was God’s confirmation”.

‘JOSLIN SMITH IS ALIVE’, SAYS GAYTON MCKENZIE
Gayton McKenzie also shared his opinion that he believes that Joslin Smith is alive.
He said: “I’m not going to give up on Joslin. I’m going to make sure that nobody’s child goes missing”.
Joslin’s mother, Kelly, also believes the young girl is alive.
“I feel it in my heart,” she said in a Facebook Live earlier this week.

Diazville Primary School, where Joslin was a student, symbolically expressed their hope by donning green attire, a color representing life.
