Duties and Qualifications/special skills
Academic qualifications Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in biology, biotechnology, environmental sciences or related fields is required. A Ph.D would be desirable. A specialization in synthetic biology or genetic engineering is desirable.
Working experience
A minimum of 5 years of working experience carrying out research in life sciences is required. A combination of qualifications and experience in preparing publications in the field of life sciences is required. Experience developing and carrying literature reviews is required. Experience is Scopus or Web of Science is desirable. Experience working with intergovernmental or supra-national institutions is desirable. Experience with the Convention on Biological Diversity, Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety either at the national level or intergovernmental level is desirable.
Skills:
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Competencies: Communication Teamwork Planning & Organizing
