Position: RN
Department: Emergency Care

As an RN in our Emergency Care department, you’ll play a crucial role in providing safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients of all ages, especially those in need of stabilization and resuscitation.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Using critical thinking and evidence-based practice to assess and diagnose patient needs.
- Care Planning: Developing care plans and prioritizing patient needs.
- Crisis Intervention: Providing support to unique patient populations, such as sexual assault survivors.
- Emergency Operations Preparedness: Being ready to respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Professional Standards: Adhering to the Professional Practice Standards defined by the ANA.
- Quality Monitoring: Actively participating in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities.
Reporting to: Manager
Supervisory Responsibility: While not a formal supervisory role, you’ll be a valuable member of the team, providing guidance and support to your colleagues.
Education and Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Special Training: Basic Life Support; ACLS; PALS; TNCC within 1 year; ECRN within 18 months
- Training Preferred: Baccalaureate in Nursing, TNS
- Licensure/Registration: Registered Nurse in Illinois, Registered Nurse in Iowa within 1 year.
- Experience: No experience required.
Interpersonal Skills:
You’ll engage with various individuals, both inside and outside the organization. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
Working Conditions:
While the job may expose you to adverse environmental conditions and potential hazards, safety precautions are in place to protect you. Exposure to such conditions is limited to 70% or less of the workday.
